See photos for condition details. Hardcover, brown cloth boards decorated in gilt on front and spine. Exterior shows scuffing along with edge and corner bumps. Spine edges show chipping at top and bottom and spine is likely sunned. Interior binding is good, no hinge cracks. Dark brown and pages in front and rear. End pages show spotting and dusting and front pastedown has a dark spot in the upper left corner, likely from a sticker residue. Pages are tone due to age and scattered foxing is present. Title page shows original owners name and city lightly written in pencil in the corner. Tissue guards are present though one of the tissues had a tear, as seen in the photos. The foxing issue is mainly around the illustrative plates and was caused by the different types of paper reacting. Title page states third edition.
