2ND EDITION softcover booklet (38 pp), staple-bound, is in G condition, having tiny piece of front cover top right and corresponding top of first page missing part of corner; some creasing to bottom front cover at bottom corner which bend marks goes to about p. 10; slight dog-earing to corners; some light staining to front and back covers near spine (see photos); general light rubbing/ scuffing to front and back covers; back cover has some writing in pencil from former owner (see photo); general light handling wear to pages--a well-used copy. Pleasantly opinionated account of various Italian gardens, with long-ago details. Author was a Fellow of the American Academy in Rome, 1926-1929. Alas, no illustrations. Scarce. Italy. Gardens.
