159 pages, plus an Acknowledgments page; light brown boards with blue titles; black & white photograph of children as frontispiece to guide section; color illustrations to book section; 1940 on the copyright page with 409.1; former owner's first name to front pastedown; corners bumped/frayed; rubbing/fading at top and bottom of spine; edge-wear to binding, which also has various relatively minor scrapes, scratches, and blemishes from usage; some brown-spotting/soiling to edges, endpapers and also to a couple of leaves (not affecting text or illustrations); binding square and sound; illustrations remain attractive. A good plus copy.
