Play More Songs You Love. Add Powerful New Skills in Just 14 Days.
You’ve already taken your first steps on guitar. Now it’s time for the next leap forward.
Most beginners stall after learning a few basic chords. Their changes feel slow, their rhythm feels shaky, and they’re not sure how to practice in a way that keeps them improving. Guitar Rookie to Rockstar - Book 2 is designed to break that cycle and get your playing moving again.
This installment of the series adds exactly what you need at this stage: your first essential minor chords, fresh rhythm patterns, practical picking techniques, and more real songs to keep the journey fun and rewarding.
In just 14 days, you’ll switch smoothly between major and minor chords, play confidently in 3/4 and 4/4 time, and turn basic chord practice into clean, great-sounding music.
Inside This Book, You’ll Learn:- Three must-know minor chords: Am, Em, and Dm
- How to practice chord changes to build speed and reliability
- New rhythm exercises that improve timing and groove
- The fundamentals of alternate picking
- A clear rule for picking direction that works on any pattern
- Simple 3/4 picking patterns
- Simple 4/4 picking patterns
- How scales fit into real music
- The C major and A minor scales
- The A minor pentatonic and C major pentatonic scales
- What riffs are and how to play them
- Several beginner riffs to develop feel and control
- How to use a metronome to sharpen your accuracy
- Practical exercises to strengthen and relax your fingers
- More chord progressions to expand your repertoire
- Step-by-step routines for balanced practice
Plus, you’ll get free downloadable bonuses, including over three hours of high-quality audio files so you can hear every exercise, chord progression, scale, and riff played clearly and correctly. You’ll also receive a printable Weekly Practice Schedule designed to support your practice and help you progress with confidence.
Why Book 2 WorksBecause it meets you exactly where you are. This book focuses on the outcomes that matter: steadier rhythm, faster changes, cleaner picking, and progress you can actually hear. Every chapter builds logically on what came before, so you never feel lost. The emphasis is on practical playing, not getting lost in theory.
Who It’s For- Readers who finished Book 1 and want to keep progressing
- Self-taught players who feel stuck after learning the basics
- Beginners ready to add minor chords and simple riffs
- Guitarists who want smarter, more effective practice
- Anyone who wants to play more songs with confidence and better feel
If you want your guitar playing to sound more like real music and less like exercises, Guitar Rookie to Rockstar - Book 2 gives you the exact tools, patterns, and routines to make that happen.

Store description
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
