The Conference was organized by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, and Kuwait University.

Alsayegh is executive director at the Energy and Building Research Center, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research; and Dr. Hasan Kamal is a research scientist with the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research.
