This Is A Gun

This Is a Gun is a straightforward and essential children's book designed to help families talk openly and clearly about firearm safety. Over 52% of American households own guns. If your child is old enough to play at a friend's house unsupervised, it is time to learn about gun safety. This book delivers a simple yet powerful message to young readers: a gun is not a toy.

Ideal for parents, educators, and caregivers, This Is a Gun uses age-appropriate language to teach kids what a gun is, why it's dangerous, and exactly what to do if they ever see one: stop, don't touch, leave the area, and tell an adult. The visual style is engaging and direct, avoiding fear-based messaging while promoting responsibility, awareness, and calm action.

Perfect for children ages 4-10 and grades K-5, this book opens the door for critical safety conversations at home, in schools, or anywhere children learn.
