H.A.K.ed: The Name Between Us

He wanted to give a child the father he never had. He never imagined how complicated that promise could become.

Anthony longs for a lasting home, a loving partnership, and the chance to build a different kind of family. With Hazel, ordinary moments—shared dinners, quiet evenings, and the daily work of caring for a child—make that future feel possible.

But conflicting memories and unanswered questions begin to unsettle the life he treasures. As his relationship with Hazel grows strained, Anthony struggles to understand what he can trust, what he can prove, and how to protect a bond that has become central to his life.

Set in Louisiana, H.A.K.ed — The Name Between Us is an intimate psychological family drama about love, fatherhood, fractured trust, and the patterns families pass from one generation to the next. Told through Anthony’s limited perspective, it explores the distance between suspicion and certainty—and the difficult choices people make when love offers no clear answers.

What does it mean to be a father when the future you imagined is no longer yours to decide?
