About the Author
JT LeRoy is the author of the International Best Sellers, Sarah & The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things. He is Associate Producer for the film adaptation of The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things, directed by Asia Argento, while the screenplay for Sarah is currently being written by Jeffrey Hatcher for director Stephen Shainberg with producers Mary Jane Skalski and Jeffrey Levy-Hinte. JT wrote the original script and was Associate Producer of Gus Van Sant's Elephant, which won the 2003 Palme d'or at the Cannes Film Festival. He is working on another collaborative project with Van Sant and is currently writing its original screenplay.
JT's work appears in many short story anthologies, including The Best American Nonrequired Reading 2003, edited by Dave Eggers and read by Tatum O'Neal on audio edition; MTV's Lit Riffs; XXX, edited by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders; Nadav Kander's Beauty's Nothing; and The Fourth Sex, Adolescent Extremes by Francesco Bonami & Raf Simon and in literary journals such as Zoetrope, McSweeney's and Memorious.
He has written the liner notes and biographies for musicians Billy Corgan, Bryan Adams, Liz Phair, Conor Oberst, and Courtney Love, among others, and profiled award winner Juergen Teller for the 2003 Citibank Photography Prize catalogue. A contributing editor to Black Book, I-D and 7x7 magazines, JT has also written reviews, articles and interviews for The New York Times, The London Times, Spin, Film Comment, Filmmaker, Interview, and Vogue, among others. He is syndicated world wide. JT's first novel, Sarah, inspired a line of clothing by Costume National and Heatherette. He has written about fashion for various publications, including The London Sunday Times, 7x7, and the MAO Fashion Public Relations firm. He also represents Gary Graham, DITA, and other fashion houses.
JT, along with Astor, Speedie, and Dean Faustman make up the rock band, THISTLE LLC, which, in the words of i-D Magazine, "slides like a jazzed up piston amongst the dirty garage rock bands of the moment...Odd yes, but brilliant definitely." The band has worked with Dennis Herring (Modest Mouse; Sparklehorse; Throwing Muses). Jerry Harrison (member of Talking Heads, producer on The Von Bondies; Live; Violent Femmes); Karl Derfler (No Doubt; Motley Crue; Toots & The Maytals). Thistle, LLC has been featured on a Daniel Johnston tribute album, along with artists Beck; Death Cab for Cutie; Tom Waits, and others, which is out now on Gammon Records. Thistle, LLC recently filmed a cameo on the George Clooney-produced "Unscripted" for HBO (airing mid January, 2005). Their debut EP is available now at THISTLEHQ.COM, and at live shows.

Store description
In 2002, World of Books Group was founded on an ethos to do good, protect the planet and support charities by enabling more goods to be reused. Since then, we've grown into to a global company pioneering the circular economy. Today, we drive the circular economy through three re-commerce brands: - Wob: Through Wob, we sell. We provide affordable, preloved books and media to customers all over the world. A book leaves our collection of over seven million titles and begins a new chapter every two seconds, enabling more goods to be reused. - Ziffit: Through Ziffit, we buy. We give people around the world the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet, by trading their unwanted books and media. - Shopiago: Through Shopiago, we help others. By sharing the technology that has grown World of Books Group into the business it is today, we’re helping charities increase revenue and reduce waste through re-commerce.…
