HAZOP Risk Analysis of a Butane Storage Tank: and CAMEO-ALOHA Modules for the GP1/Z complex

The GP1Z complex plays an important role in the production of LPG in order to meet all national and international energy needs, as does its large spherical storage capacity. The aim of this work is to analyze the risks associated with LPG storage at the GP1/Z complex, in order to implement appropriate preventive measures to reduce the degree of risk. To achieve this objective, we used the HAZOP method and ALOHA software to analyze scenarios and assess their consequences on the environment. By applying the HAZOP method, we were able to identify possible accident types, their extent and consequences.
