Item description from seller

Berlin: Kino Arsenal, [1973]. Quarto (29.7 × 21 cm). Original side-stapled printed self-wrappers; 17 leaves printed to rectos with hectographed typescripts, notations, and sketches. Very good. After a surrealist phase in the 1960s, he turned in the 1970s to video, as well as to performance and installation art related to it. His work focused primarily on the structures of language and images and was influenced, among other things, by post-structuralist philosophy. (Cf. AKL LXXVI, 2013, p. 185.) The viewer was confronted with a wide range of perspectives and details of their own image. Iimura also gave the viewer precise instructions, for example, asking them to write their name while speaking at the same time. (Cf. Wulf Herzogenrath and Edith Decker, Video-Skulptur: Retrospektiv und Aktuell 1963-1989, p. 124f). As of September 2025, KVK, OCLC list one copy worldwide.…
