About the Author
Melonie Boone, Ph. D. is a global business psychologist, leadership strategist, positive leader scholar, and serial entrepreneur engaged in helping others reach their full potential in their personal and professional lives.
Using positive psychology as a foundation to coach others to high performance, Dr. Boone has built a dynamic career as a leader and trusted advisor to executives on strategy, operations, P&L management, leadership development, and human resources for organizations from startups to large global companies. She has devoted over 25 years to affecting transformational change in leaders and their organizations and specializes in helping women and people of color navigate the complexities that arise in corporate settings. Her strategies have yielded significant results with individuals and corporations within financial services, technology, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, professional services, family-owned businesses, retail, municipalities, healthcare, education, publishing, restaurants, and more.
In 2009, Dr. Boone launched a speaking career and is currently a noted keynote speaker with more than 40 appearances. She is available to speak on topics ranging from transformational leadership to personal branding, business strategy, entrepreneurship, global business operations, safety, social media, positive leadership, and much more. She also serves as Board Secretary for Future Cylce Breakers, a nonprofit providing underserved communities with Entrepreneurial Business Education.
She holds a Ph.D. in organizational leadership from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, an M.J. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, an MBA from Florida Metropolitan University, and a B.B.A. in Human Resource Management from Loyola University in Chicago. She lives in Chicago with her husband, where they are raising their son and daughter.
