Marie Joseph Louis Adolphe Thiers (Bouc-Bel-Air, 1797 - Saint-Germain-en-Laye, 1877) foi um político francês, que exerceu por três vezes o cargo de primeiro Ministro, do Rei Luís Filipe I, em 1836, 1840 e na Segunda República Francesa em 1848. Depois da queda do Imperador Napoleão III, tornou-se o primeiro Presidente da República da chamada Terceira República Francesa, tendo participado na repressão da Comuna de Paris. Foi um grande admiradoe de Napoleão Bonaparte e promoveu a trasladação do seu corpo da Ilha de Santa Helena para Paris. 5 volumes. 31x22 cm. Marie Joseph Louis Adolphe Thiers (Bouc-Bel-Air, 1797 - Saint-Germain-en-Laye, 1877) was a French politician, who served three times as Prime Minister, with King Louis Philip I in 1836, 1840 and in the Second French Republic in 1848. After the fall of Emperor Napoleon III, he became the first President of the Republic of the so-called Third French Republic and took part in the repression of the Paris Commune.
