BAL refers to copies such as this one, with no printer's imprint present on the copyright page of the first volume, as "State B" of the two states of the first edition issued (no priority between the two is given). BAL 16346. GRIFFIN 2975. SABIN 65272. Half titles. Original publisher's cloth, stamped in blind and gilt, spines gilt. Minute wear at extremities. Scattered foxing. A very good copy.
