NOTE FROM 1932: This is an unusual copy of Benton's History of Herkimer County, it being one of the edition of 1856 which edition, apparently, was greater than demand called for and therefore a number of copies were tied in individual packages and stored away rather than being sent to the binder. This is one of those copies that was found after many years and then bound. The pages have not been cut and the marks of the binding string appear on the edges. . Sm 4to., vi,497pp.,(3), page toning, lacks fold-out map, toning, soiling .
