Navy blue cloth covers with red paste down on spine which has gold title lettering which is bright. Gold gilt upper page ends are clean. Covers exhibit light wear on corners and spine ends. Heavy soiling to back cover and back hinge area. Heavy yellowing to inside front and back covers, ffep's and bfep's. Light yellowing to text due to age. Text is otherwise clean and unmarked. Hinges are stretched but still firmly attached. "Sets forth the environment by which the makers of the Constitution were influenced. Also describes the manner in which the compact of government was ratified." All books are individually examined and described. Never ex-library unless explicitly described as such.
