Hardcover 5 volume set. Beautiful matching brown full leather boards with gold ruling. Edge wear, light soil, scuffing and sunning to boards. Title labels on spines between raised bands. Marbleized fore edges and endpapers. Blank endpapers, frontis and title pages of first three volumes more noticeably foxed. Only occasional foxing to text. Volumes 1-3 cover the History of Rome. Volumes 4-5 are the lectures of B. G. Niebuhr covering The History of Rome From The First Punic War To The Death Of Constantine. Always carefully wrapped and shipped in cardboard boxes to protect your purchase.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall.
