- Octavo, blue cloth titled in gilt within brown rectangles on the spines. The spines are slightly sunned & there are a few small stains to the covers. 355 & [1] pages; and 373 & [1] pages. A few top page corners in Vol. 1 are lightly creased & there are small stains to the front margins of a few pages in Vol. 2. There is some light soiling & staining to the fore-edges & bottom edges. Black & white plates, including a frontispiece in each volume, & numerous black-and-white illustrations. Very good. Reprint edition. Originally published in 1919.
