Brown hard covers with black title labels on the spine. Gold lettering and bands on the spines is faded. Heavy wear, chipping and bumping on corners and edges. Yellowing and soiling to page ends. Volume one has moisture staining on the front edges. Very fragile front cover hinge. Heavy foxing and yellowing to the text and illustrations. Volume Two is mostly a very interesting topography of the United States. It does have foxing and yellowing to text and the inside hinge is cracked.
