Early printing (single line copyright statement upon title page verso). 167 pages plus b/w plates. Hardcover: H 25.75cm x L 18.5cm. Dust jacket quite chipped and torn with rear panel and rear flap detached; soiling and rubbing; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Green cloth; front board and spine decorated with bright gilt and black stamping; slight bumping to board corners. Lengthy group (non-authorial) ink inscription on half-title page; laid-in at front endpapers is an undated postcard (circa 1970s) to past owner from a Fort Walton Beach, Florida bookseller; interior pages are clean. Binding is firm. A very good copy in a poor dust jacket. Features concluding section of 28 b/w plates on fourteen unpaged leaves with images by photographer Noble Bretzman. {RegAm-Shelf#5}.
