Add to basketOblong brochure (7 1/2" x 5 1/4"): 16 p. with color and black-and-white photographs. Bound with two staples in the original pictorial blue paper wrappers. Built in 1893 by George Gill Green, and later expanded by him with two additional buildings in 1898 and 1903, creating a complex of three structures, the Hotel Green became a social and cultural center for Pasadena, hosting society events such as receptions for significant visitors and painting exhibitions. The complex was designed by Los Angeles-based architect Frederick Roehrig, who incorporated Moorish, Spanish, and Victorian elements, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This brochure announced the opening of the Hotel Green the first week of November and it operating year round rather than seasonally.
