vii+190+(2, pub.list and illustrated notice of another work by author), text figs numbered to 36 but some missing presumably due to omission from this edition, no evidence of plates; lacking front endpaper, gutter opening before t.p. but quite secure, tanning to outer side of rear endpaper, otherwise internally clean and unmarked; covers barely worn with just minimal rubbing to extrems, but marre. Blue cloth somewhat by a scatter of about 7 small white marks to front and faint stain by top back outer corner. Covers a very wide range of topics but 20 of 32 chapters relate to food and drink. Uncommon.
