About the Author
Stony Evans is a teacher-librarian at Lakeside High School in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He earned his Master's in Library Media and Information Technologies from the University of Central Arkansas. Stony received the Arkansas Library Association's Retta Patrick Award in 2017, and was a finalist for the AASL 2017 Sensational Student Voice—Social Media Superstar award. He was selected as the Arkansas Association of Instructional Media's Library Media Specialist of the Year in 2013. He has been a school library advocacy columnist for School Library Connection magazine since 2015, and contributed a chapter to the book Using Social Media to Build Library Communities: A LITA Guide, in 2017. He is a Mackin TYSL Advocate, a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, and a Skype Master Teacher.
