In the history of the Hackleburg church, we also hear of the 13-pie potlucks, weather-dependent picnics, rivalries with the Baptists, Methodist cuss words, and the grace of God, which seemed to get those Hoosier Methodists through every trial - still speaking to each other (most of the time). Through Riley Case's telling of these whimsical, heart-warming stories, we are reminded that God is love, is patient, and has a sense of humor.
