Hail the King: The Rule, the Reign, and the Realm of Christ

What does it mean to “hail the King”? If we were to analyze the evangelical church today, we may see her quick to bend the knee to “Caesar,” to the whims of worldly ideology, to moral relativism, to pragmatism and to cultural, sympathetic, “relatability,” while simultaneously (and ironically) brazenly defiant toward submitting to the actual commands and authority of Jesus! The church today values safety, strategy, efficiency, and novelty above all other values – neglecting obedience, holiness, humility, clarity, and risk. What does it mean to be a citizen of Heaven, then? Does the Bible actually say much about Christ and his kingdom? Echoing the words of Psalm 24, who is this King of glory?

In this book, pastor and author Pilgrim Benham explores what the Scripture says about the Ruler (King Jesus), his Reign in the hearts of his people by faith, along with the Realm of his cosmic jurisdiction.

This book has been written to agitate you toward kingdom involvement, toward a renewed love for other citizens, and to behold, adore, and hail the King!
