As one who has plied the Sacramento river on a boat since the 1970s I can confidently say this is an iconic key title for its portrayal of the Delta with "boating as a way of life" perspective. Oversized 8.5 x 10.75, 336pp., fine interior profusely illustrated with BW photos of virtually every historic building, landmark, marina, slough and boat on the Delta. On cover states "Waterway maps, bridge charts, marina facilities, Delta history, tales of the Dellta, boat-in restaurants, favorite anchorages, the paddlewheeler days".
