A Half Baked Tale (Paperback or Softback)

Inder, a young man, navigates his life through four different cities - Patna, Bhopal, Pune, and Delhi. He is trying to hold the two versions of himself. By day, he is an engineer working in a corporate office. By night, he turns to a cafe owner, creating a place for wanderers, dreamers, and those who have stories to tell. It's all "One for the Soul, One for the Kitchen."

However, while giving space to other people's stories, there's one story that he always avoided. His own story. Just until now.

From the bylanes of Patna to the college days in Bhopal to finally navigating corporates and business in Pune and Delhi, this is a story with lessons on friendship, love, loss, heartbreak, guilt, and a lot more. It's a story when a moment of despair that brings him to the edge, and another moment leaves him hopeful. This book is the slow work of rebuilding life, one step at a time, keeping up the quiet courage to keep going even when ending it all seems easier.

me-Rohit Vishal, a computer science engineer and a data engineer by profession. A techie who codes for a living, but also someone who believes in writing stories that both humans and machines can understand. I've been fortunate to spend more than eight years in the IT industry, across three corporates that have truly valued work-life balance. The IT world has its challenges, but it also gives us a rare philosophy: to live one life for the soul and another for the kitchen. It teaches us to communicate better, to nurture ideas, and to fight for bringing those ideas alive. This is not a technical book on coding or data engineering. It is simply a story from the soul. Not a perfect story. Not a perfect novel. Something half-baked-because all beginnings are. This is just the start of a journey, imperfect yet sincere, and I hope it connects with you in its own way.
