About the Author

At age 28, Daniel Rouleau is a graduate of Regent University School of Law (Juris Doctor) and of Old Dominion University (B.S. in Criminal Justice). Drug policy is his primary area of research, but also researches other legal topics, like as felon disenfranchisement, business law, and tax law. His education, research, and personal experiences exposed him to the criminal justice system, legal practice, and political lobbying and gives a unique perspective to his drug policy analysis. Daniel is a leader of cannabis policy reform in Virginia, and is the co-founder of a consultant group that assists medical cannabusinesses receive licensing in Virginia. He also writes for several public policy and cannabis blogs. He lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia and is raising two sons with his wife, Megan.
