Halfway House Success: A Helpful Guide for Soon-To-Be-Released Inmates

HELP FOR SOON-TO-BE-RELEASED INMATES

Having served five years in Federal Prison, I remember there wasn’t a day that went by that I didn’t think about walking through those gates to freedom. One of the things that I was unsure of was what halfway house would be like. You see, when you are an inmate, there are very few resources provided to prepare you for your transition to the outside world. I decided that this needed to change – that’s why I published this little book. In it, current inmates will gain the knowledge they need to make their halfway house experience a success.

Here Is A Preview Of What You'll Learn...

• What they need to be doing NOW, before being released, to help them prepare for their freedom
• Factors they need to consider when deciding to take or refuse halfway house placement
• What items they need to bring with them from prison to make for an easy transition to halfway house
• Halfway house orientation – what to expect
• Accountability and how important it is to a successful halfway house experience
• The Pass System and how to navigate this often confusing process
• Subsistence – what is it and how will it affect your earnings while in halfway house
• Job hunting with a criminal record – how to navigate the job search and exactly what to say when asked about your record
• Much, much more!

This is a guide that every inmate about to be released from prison needs to read. In addition, this book will give them the peace-of-mind to lay their course for future success as a returning citizen. If someone you know is about to be released from prison, this book is a MUST HAVE!
