Lawrence W. Judge, Ph.D., CSCS, is an associate professor and the coordinator of the graduate coaching program at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He is the USA Track & Field national chairman for coaching education, and he lectures throughout the United States at various camps and clinics, including USA Track & Field Level 2 and Level 3 coaching education schools. He also lectures in the IAAF coaches education program. Judge is a USATF Master Coach.
Widely recognized as the premiere throws coach in the United States, Judge has tutored over 100 NCAA Division I All-Americans, 11 NCAA national champions, 16 USATF champions, eight Olympians, two American record holders, three collegiate record-holders, three American collegiate record holders, and two world record holders.
Judge has authored or co-authored 80 peer-reviewed publications, including 38 first-author publications in prestigious journals such the International Review for the Sociology of Sport, International Journal of Sports Physiology and Performance, The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, and the International Journal of Sports Science & Coaching.

Kevin McGill is a coaching educator, former collegiate and high school throws coach, and author. McGill was involved with forming the USATF coaching education program in 1982. He is one of the authors of The Throws Manual.
