This Original 1843 Printing is solid and in great shape! This is a hardcover book with 400 pages including many illustrations. The binding is strong with all pages firmly attached. There are initials written on the top of the first end paper and a dedication written on the second end paper. The first several pages show light crease marks. The pages are otherwise clean with no tears. The title page states 1843 Third Edition. The covers are brown with gold lettering and designs. The covers show general edgewear, light soiling and a few light scuff marks. I have placed a fresh mylar jacket on this great old book. We always ship in a sturdy cardboard box.
