Presumed first. Green blindstamped cloth boards have allover soiling and scuffing. Gilt cover titling still rather sharp and bright, as is gilt spine titling. Upward bow to front board. Shelfwear to edges with chipping loss at head and tail of spine. Interior age-toned with scattered soiling and foxing. Previous owner's label to front pastedown. Contemporary bookbinder's label, from London, to rear pastedown. Endpapers split at both joints but holding, binding otherwise intact though not tight.
