Kenji Uchino is Academy Professor Emeritus in Electrical Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University, United States. He is a pioneer in piezoelectric actuators, and has been a university professor for 51 years, a government officer for 7 years, and a company executive for 21 years in the US and Japan. His research interests focus on dielectrics, ferroelectrics, and piezoelectrics, as well as device design and fabrication, solid state actuators, transducers, positioners, and ultrasonic motors.
