He is a graduate from Armed Forces Medical College Pune and completed his post-graduation in Medicine from King George's Medical College Lucknow. He has received Rheumatology training in the USA. Dr. Duggal has been a temporary advisor to the WHO since 1999.
He has been an active rheumatologist for close to three decades. He is an examiner for the NBE for the formative assessment as well as the main DNB program.
He has published several papers in many national and international journals, including original work in ankle arthritis with mediastinal lymphadenopathy and IgG4 related disease.
