1967. Seventh impression. 108 pages. Pictorial dust jacket over green cloth. Black and white diagrams throughout. Pages remain bright and clean with minimal tanning and foxing. Binding remains firm. Small bookshop label to front free endpaper. Boards have light shelf wear with minor corner bumping and crushing to spine ends. Some mild marks and staining to surfaces. Extremely scarce first printing of this lovely edition full of line drawings by a bacteriology and botany professor. Dark green boards. Slight lean to the boards as front endpaper is split. and partly at the rear. Binding is stitched and holding all pages together. Knocking and rubbing at the spine ends, corners and spine junctions. Crease at bottom corner of front board. This book contains a series of botanical sketches designed to illustrate a one-year lecture and laboratory course. It is based on diagrams which the author has for many years provided to students to facilitate teaching work both in the lecture-room and the laboratory.
