About this title

Synopsis

The Handbook of Feynman Path Integrals appears just fifty years after Richard Feynman published his pioneering paper in 1948 entitled "Space-Time Approach to Non-Relativistic Quantum Mechanics", in which he introduced his new formulation of quantum mechanics in terms of path integrals. The book presents for the first time a comprehensive table of Feynman path integrals together with an extensive list of references; it will serve the reader as a thorough introduction to the theory of path integrals.
As a reference book, it is unique in its scope and will be essential for many physicists, chemists and mathematicians working in different areas of research.

Review

"The book is a compendious handbook for the path integral with a list of almost 1000 references.
...Such a handbook could not have been written up without persistent efforts over years to accumulate the basic data, and the authors may now be destined to keep incessantly supplementing it with further references. Anyway, this book will be useful to the reader who wants to know not only what the path integral is, but also which path integrals can in fact be calculated." Mathematical Reviews, 2000 "This volume provides a comprehensive account of the quantum mechanical path integrals that have been successfully evaluated during the fifty years since R. Feynman published his pioneering papers on the subject. ... This unique handbook will be an indispensable reference for physicists, quantum chemists and mathematicians working on the diverse areas of research where Feynman path integrals are used."
