Rev Harold Chambers was a Methodist Missionary in Fiji and began compiling his "simple introduction to the grammer and construction of Fijian" in 1934, completing it in 1936, when he was principal at Davuilevu Methodist College. The grammer and constructions sections are followed by the vocabulary. 74 pages. Stiff black card covers with applied front paper panel with blue titles VG, small water stain lower right corner of panel. Inked name etc of serviceman serving with hospital unit, Latoka, 1942. Text block VG.
