After studying liberal arts and graphic design at the University of Connecticut and industrial design at the Berlin University of the Arts, Marion Digel worked as a lead designer, ran her own design studio, and has been self-employed in furniture, product, and corporate design since 2006. In 2006, she was appointed professor at the Folkwang University of the Arts, where she held various management positions until 2019, culminating in her appointment as dean of the design department. t.
