Trilingual: English/German/French. 22,5 cm x 21 cm. 379 pages. With many black-and-white illustrations throughout the book. Original Hardcover with original dustjacket in protective collector's mylar. Very good condition with only minor signs of external wear. This handbook contains a complete and systematic identifying procedure with magnifications, which-in the manner of plant recognition-permits identification of a printing process on the basis of a reproduction. The body of the book comprises separate chapters dealing with the evolution and uses of each technique, subjecting them to critical evaluation from the standpoints of original quality or accuracy of reproduction. The descriptions of manual techniques are supported by copious pictorial documentation. (Publisher).
