Communist perspective on the Works Progress Administration and its limited utility to the unemployed with suggestions for how WPA workers can better organize. The last two pages are a table of successful W.P.A. strikes and work stoppages. Benjamin was a Communist Party member from 1921-1944 and led two hunger marches in 1931 and 1932 under the banner of the National Unemployment Council. Although this pamphlet was clearly published by the Communist Party, the party is never mentioned, although numerous front groups are listed. Stapled wrappers (7 ½" x 5"), 36 p., [2] p. (table). A fine copy.
