London, John Murray, 1891 as stated on title page, first editiion ???, original red cloth with gilt title on both front board and spine, about 7 X 4 ¾ inches, illustrated with many figures, plans and maps (including 14 folding colored maps). Cover is about fine showing only a few very minor wear to edges (see images). Interior is fine too ; no noticeable wear, complete, clean and tightly bound, showing only a previous owner?s signature on ffep and another one on half-ttile page dated 1892. Endpaper hinges begin to cracked (only paper) but are still very solid. All maps are fine but someones have been uncorrectly folded sot hey present some creases where it is not supposed. Two maps present a 1 inche tear. NOTE : back board is made as a slip. I suppose it was made for insert a large map or something else. Unfortunately the slip is empty.
