Der Minnesang ist die wichtigste Gattung der mittelalterlichen deutschen Lyrik. Die Beitr�ge des Handbuchs bieten eine profunde Darstellung der Gattungen, Autorprofile und Autorbilder des Minnesangs sowie seiner Themen, Semantiken und Forschungsfragen. Vorgestellt werden etwa die in den Liedern diskutierten Normen und Werte, die Einbettung des Minnesangs in die h�fische Gesellschaft, die Form, Performanz und Klanglichkeit der Lieder, die �berlieferungssituation sowie die Minnesangrezeption. Zugleich wird die Geschichte des deutschen Minnesangs in den Kontexten der europ�ischen Liebesdichtung situiert.
