Wac aw Ropiecki, To Handle Oneself First, 1983Self-Published, b/w photocopied booklet. 6pp., 150 x 105 mm. Text in English and Polish re- producing words by Sadhus, Socrates and St. Luke, among others. Handmade and unsigned with no edition size. Thought to be fewer than 30 printed copies. Artist s name and title hand- stamped on cover and dated on back 21 Feb 1983. Ropiecki took part in the Fabryka pub- lication of 1982 in Lodz (Edited by Rysard Wasko) his contribution including a small printed publication in this same format. Other original photographs for the publication were exhibited in June 2017 at the Texto+Contexto exhibition in Espacio El Dorado in Bogota. Examples of Ropiecki s photographic self-portraits are available to be listed on request. Condition: Near Fine.
