You've been a collage-maker ever since you were a kid, turning pictures from magazines into personal statements about life. It's much more fun to create adult illusions and moods-still using the collage basics of paper, string, wire, and glue. A dozen simple projects show you the techniques for making your own versions of Snow on the Mountain, The Falls at Yosemite, The Four Seasons, In the Canyon, Tribal Music, and other magic landscapes.

Reviews
This is an excellent resource for anyone wanting an introduction or to learn more about the art of paper collage. Ackerman, an artist for more than 20 years, begins with the basics: the different types of paper, tools, and adhesives that are needed; materials that embellish paper; and how to decorate plain paper for use in a collage. The author also explains the basic techniques of making collages and gives many hints for materials that are more difficult to work with and common problems found in paper collage. More than 15 projects are offered, and photographs of Ackerman's many collages will inspire ideas. The projects are divided between landscapes and abstract images that use many different types of paper, materials, and colors. The step-by-step illustrations, the author's clear and easy-to-follow instructions, and the numerous project ideas offered make this an excellent resource. Michelle Kaske
