About the Author
D. Kelly Ogden earned a master s degree in Hebrew language and historical geography of the Bible at the Institute of Holy Land Studies in Jerusalem and PhD in Middle East studies from the University of Utah. He is a professor of ancient scripture and the author of numerous books and papers on the Holy Land, where he and his family lived for more than a decade. Brother Ogden served as the first associate director of the BYU Jerusalem Center and was twice president of the Jerusalem Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has also served as president of the Chile Santiago East Mission. He is married to Marcia Hammond Ogden, and they are the parents of four children.
