About the Author

Doris Sarjeant and Karen Evans began researching food additives in the late '70s out of concern for their children's health. For the past twenty years, they have monitored the findings of the World Health Organization, the US Food and Drug Administration and the Canadian Food and Drugs Act in order to uncover the the shocking truth about the ingredients and manufacturing processes that go into the foods we eat every day. The first edition (The Truth About Food Additives) prompted Canada's health officials to try to ban further publication and distribution of the book. Thankfully, Sarjeant and Evans persisted in their research and the result is the most comprehensive guide to food additives ever produced.
