Binding sturdy and tight. 767 pp., includes 28 page Index to Volumes I through XX: 1892-1912. These issues are full of interesting and important articles, including: "James As a Philosopher" by Josiah Royce, and "Fifty Years Out", a reminiscence by Oliver Wendell Holmes. Also noted is a brief column: "Changes in Football Rules", establishing some of the more significant features of the modern game (100 yards for the field; 10 yards in-play beyond the goal posts; touchdowns scoring 6 points, not 5; etc. There is also, not surprisingly, much on Harvard institutions and lore, as well as entries covering such fine-grained topics as: "The Squirrels of Cambridge" - ample material to fortify oneself for fascinating dinner table conversation!
