Hate Is My Neighbor (Idaho Human Rights)

<div>In the 1980s, a community in northern Idaho unwittingly became the home to the Aryan Nations, one of the most virulent white supremacist groups in the United States. After a number of threats against "non-whites," Father Bill Wassmuth and other local civil rights leaders banded together to shine light on the hateful and malicious acts of Aryan Nations members.</div>

Idaho-born Bill Wassmuth was pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Coeur d'Alene from 1979-1988. He served as the founding executive director of the six-state Northwest Coalition Against Malicious Harassment from 1989-1999. Tom Alibrandi has written about true crime, the Constitution, substance abuse, and educational models for inspiring at-risk youth to succeed in school. He received his doctorate in International and Multicultural Education from the University of San Francisco.<div></div>
