Description:
Harrap's Shilling Library edition from 1932. Originally published in hard covers by Constable in 1928 with several editions from the same publisher over the next two years. The front panel has a little discolouration to the top corner and the rear panel has discolouration over much of the top half. Spine has a little fading at the top and bottom. Rubbing and bumping to the corners. There is some browning and scattered spotting to the page edges. No endpapers as issued. Some pink staining around the edges of the pastedowns and to the final page. Small book shop stamp to the first page. Light spotting to the pages at the front and back and there are two tears to the edge of the final page but the pages are otherwise unmarked. The jacket has chipping, creasing and tearing around the edges with loss at the top and bottom of the spine. The rear panel is quite discoloured and there is red staining to the reverse from the boards. There is a small hole to the front panel but the illustration retains quite good colouring. Light staining to the flaps. Seller Inventory # 017855
