In good black textured black cloth boards, blind stamped ruled edges on front and back, beige leather title field on spine with gilt titles. The covers are firm and fairly clean, corners and spine ends slightly frayed, small split on front side of spine edge. Clean black end papers, small tear from tail end of front gutter. Tanned cut edges. The text block is printed in two columns. The pages are fairly clean and tightly bound; some sporadic foxing but apart from prelims and Addenda not tanned. The Table at front has two creased pages and small tear on fore edge. Some pencil names on half title page. For an old, thick book, the condition is very good. Heavy.

Clevedon Community Bookshop, co-operatively owned, opened on 31 December 2011 and now has a general stock of approximately 20,000 books. Our Bookshop is in Copse Road in Clevedon and is open every day, seven days a week, from 10.00am to 5.00pm. The Bookshop Co-operative comprises nearly 650 members from around the world and was set up to stop the only second-hand bookshop in our town from closing. The benefit of being a member/shareholder is only social: no-one benefits financially. All profits are used to improve the bookshop and its stock, and, through events, to contribute to the literacy and literary profile of our town. We take care to describe our books accurately and in detail, and to pack them so that they arrive with you in the same condition that they leave us. However,
should you not be completely satisfied with your purchase, then you may return
the books(s) to us and, provided you do this within 30 days of receiving the
book(s), then we will fully refund the cost of the book and postage.

We pack our books in corrugated book wrap or book boxes. We try to respond to orders the same day as we receive them or during the next business day. Shipping costs are based on books weighing up to 1.1 lb, or 0.5KG. If your book order is particularly heavy or oversized, we may contact you to request an additional payment to cover extra postage costs.
