I have been a physical therapist in Harnett County since 2002. I received my Bachelors of Physical Therapy degree from the University at Buffalo of New York State and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Arcadia University. In 2008 I opened Total Body Therapy & Wellness in Lillington, NC. The goal of this was to provide exceptional “Big City Care” in a small-town community. I have been invited to speak on health and wellness issues in many areas of our community. In 2010 I received “Lillington Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year” Award. I also served on Lillington Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for 3 years and was President of Lillington Chamber of Commerce in 2013. As a way to give back to my profession, I mentor future physical therapists and other health care providers from many local colleges including Campbell University, University of North Carolina, Methodist University, Wake Technical College, and Western Carolina University. I also perform interviews at Campbell University’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy School to select incoming students. My passion is to improve the quality of life for those in my community and to bring quality health care to rural settings. When I am not working, I love to spend as much time as possible with my family! I love them so much I put their picture above! My husband Erik, son Blake and dogs Bella and Ellie (the dogs weren’t invited to that wedding). I also enjoy running, reading, baking, sewing, watching football and going to the beach. Throughout my career, I have specialized in many areas of health and wellness and have developed my own custom programs to treat many afflictions including: Lower Back Pain, Lymphedema, Vertigo, Foot Pain, Pediatrics, Fall Prevention, TMJ and Headaches/Migraines. I have become certified in many aspects of Physical Therapy including: Certified Dry Needling Functional Movement Taping Certified Decongestive Therapist Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator Certified Fitter of Lymphedema Garments Certified Neuro-Developmental Therapist of Children and Babies Neuro-Anatomy of Developmental Pathologies
